Every Time the Phone Rings...


take three mindful breaths 
to settle the mind before answering.

I rarely have a phonecall, so I'm using stoplights as
my invitation to take three breaths and settle
the mind while I wait.

Forgetting when I stop at red lights...
then remembering
to breathe

Eventually looking forward to the
"oases of red lights"
